Unseen Heroes

Today, we were driving the freeway taking my nephew home, I moved over as I passed an highway patrol truck and a vehicle with a flat tire. The officer had pulled over and was changing their tire. Forget the fact that she was female. It was the fact he’d pulled over to help by changing it or having traffic slowed by his mere presence. My girlfriend noticed, as well. Her thoughts mimicking mine. That goes on to show that it’s not just my opinion. I know, for a fact, if a tree falls in the forest without anyone hearing it; it makes a sound, still. Similarly, I know this happens across the world, at any given time. However, it may not be recognized as often as it should be.

Thank you! No matter what your position or title in this world, thank you all.

Random acts of kindness shouldn’t be random. It should be habitual.

A woman, who was like another grandmother to me, recently passed. During her homegoing, her daughter spoke about who she was to her, her family, and all who’s paths she crossed. I held it together until this part, she mentioned how those her mom cared for were near and dear to her heart. Each one was in her thoughts and prayers at any given time. I know this to be true because that is why she was an adopted “Nana.” Seeing her every Sunday was a must, if I was at church.

I had a few adopted family members at that church for the same reason.

Why is it so difficult to find these rare gems of people in this world?

How come it takes losing something to make you realize what they meant to you?

Past events cannot be changed; however, my perspective has.

Gratitude is a game changer!

Thank you to the unseen, unsung, and unheard-of heroes!!!

If you think about it, all of us have the opportunity to be one in this one life we are given.

What are you doing with yours?
