On a day of grief and frustration, it took two days to come back to acceptance. Allowing me to be teachable. Not my will, Lord, but Yours be done.

Nothing that person said about me changes the compassion, patience, and care I provide my patients. Nothing out of the mouth of man can lessen the love God has shown through me.

Do NOT be fooled by appearances!! Capitalization of 'not' done by this writer for emphasis

For some, that's all some have; I'm blessed to know I'm made for more

YOU are made for more.

Today's devotion in Jesus Calling - Enjoying Peace in His Presence, states "Make friends with the problems in your life."

There is a way to alleviate some of the angst, or anxiety it can cause.

Romans 8:28 reminds us, "And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them."

I heard a sermon regarding a similar topic, the pastor gave a mantra to repeat:

  • Expect it

  • Embrace it

  • Exceed it

How I apply it to my life:

  • Expecting the problem calms the anxiety. It gives me time to pray and strategize - the best offense is a good defense.

  • Embracing the problem - might as well, it won't go away - God hasn't brought me to something He hasn't seen me through.

So, I keep PUSHing through: Pray Until Something Happens

  • Exceeding the problem is simple (note that I didn't say easy) - as long as I keep moving forward, and,

1, 2, 3, repeat

1, 2, 3, repeat

and so on.

Because... either I will succeed or learn. However, I believe even in success, there's something to learn; nothing is perfect.

Stay Blessed

Shanti Marie
